Health Advocate
I am a firm believer in a proactive model of health. As a board certified and registered Naturopathic Doctor, my passion is to help empower people to achieve their health goals, in a natural and accessible way.
Growing up in a rural and remote community, I was exposed to traditional medicine at an early age. Later, living in Asia, I learned more about natural health options and how these contribute to primary health through primary and secondary prevention of illness, creating healthy communities, encouraging and empowering citizens to take an active role in their health.
I appreciate the challenges of obtaining accessible health care that values a patient’s unique experience and preference. Inclusion is very important to me; I welcome people from diverse cultures, backgrounds, life experiences and all sexual and gender identities.
Before deciding to become a Naturopathic Doctor, I worked in Health Policy for nearly a decade aiming to help advance the broader public health agenda. I became further inspired to pursue naturopathic medicine and more actively advocate for, and provide, greater accessibility to health care services.
I aim to promote autonomy in your health care and I am available to assist you step-by-step on your path. I believe it is important that people have individualized, evidence-based care. In my clinical practice, I aim to include patients in their health care while providing a caring and calm space for treatment.
Focus areas include Fertility care, Hormonal Health, Stress management, Thyroid Health and Pain Management.
